Adult Swim, the Cartoon Network collection of animated offerings too good (and too bad) for kids, is a Nonsek favorite. We love it even more now that Superjail has joined the team.

Superjail tells tales of a psychedelic fever-dreamy supermax prison designed to house the worst of the worst. The prison staff, of course, is worse yet. Megalomaniacal warden + freaky henchmen (and henchtranny) + criminal dregs = a spectacular celebration of cartoon violence.

Animation fans may recognize the gore-happpy stylings of series co-creators Christy Karakas and Stephen Warbrick from their gleefully over-the-top Bar Fight.

Superjail’s hyper-detailed animation is a visual stunner. Equally amazing: it’s all done in Flash, and all domestically, at Augenblick Studios in Brooklyn. USA! USA!
